• Overview

We are delighted to announce that our advisory team has again featured in the top twenty of this year’s survey of Australia’s best 100 financial advisors.

Conducted by The Australian newspaper in conjunction with the respected US investment publication Barron’s, the annual survey rates the quality of advisors according to their experience, credentials, service resources and, importantly, client satisfaction.

In this sixth year of the poll, Ben James ranked No. 10, the fifth time he has been selected in the top twenty. Amanda Fong ranked No. 14, Mason Allamby and Steve Collins No. 15, and Paul Sealy and Jonathan Vickers-Willis No. 17. This is Amanda and Mason’s fourth appearance in the rankings and Steve’s third, attesting to our team’s continuing commitment to service excellence.

Interviewed by The Australian about her approach, Amanda emphasised the importance of focusing on the long term. ‘While events such as the Russo-Ukrainian conflict are troubling,’ she says, ‘investors should beware of being preoccupied with the short term. Our in-house research shows that geopolitical crises have historically had a very short impact on markets and hasty decisions to divest often have proved unwise.’

Amanda also points to research being a key factor in the quality of advice we provide about environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) considerations. ‘These are of increasing concern to investors, particularly younger generations,’ she says. ‘Our focus on looking beyond the names of funds to determine exactly how responsible they are is yet another reason our team continues to rate well in these surveys.’
